Our Teachers

Alex
Hi, I’m Alex Barnard—a qualified educator with a degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English and minoring in History.
I graduated in Australia and was a registered teacher in Queensland. Since 2014, I’ve taught in a wide range of educational settings, including public and private schools, international schools, and small English tuition businesses. I also hold a TESOL certificate.
Today, I run my own English conversation school, where I combine years of hands-on teaching experience with a deep commitment to helping students grow in confidence and ability.

Megan
Hi, I’m Megan—an American educator and certified ESL teacher with a passion for science and global studies. I studied at Kyoto University and Florida State University, earning degrees in Environmental Science (focused on sustainability) and International Relations (with a concentration in global politics and counterterrorism).
At Kyoto University, I helped students strengthen their academic English in subjects like biology, physics, and environmental systems. In the U.S., I supported international students across STEM, literature, and cultural studies.
I’m here to help you feel confident, capable, and supported—especially in the tough stuff.
